Our courses for midwives...
...comply with Nursing and Midwifery Council requirements for safe practice. All courses are accredited by the Royal College of Midwives and Federation of Antenatal Educators. We are committed to promoting the inclusion of “complementary therapies” as a compulsory subject within midwifery training. We provide in-house courses for NHS trusts and for maternity services overseas, which have facilitated increased normality in childbirth, with reduced interventions such as induction of labour or Caesarean sections. ...through pregnancy and birth, including complementary therapists, doulas, antenatal educators, maternity support workers and those wishing to become midwives. We provide in-house courses for complementary therapy colleges, to comply with core curricula requirements.
Our Educational Director, Denise Tiran, is an internationally-renowned authority on the safety of complementary therapies in pregnancy and childbirth. All our tutors are midwifery lecturers qualified in complementary therapies, or healthcare lecturers specialising in related subjects, including physiology, psychology and research.
